Lock Repair

Sticking, loose or misaligned locks diagnosed and fixed instead of needlessly replaced. Available across Delaware & Chester County PA and New Castle County DE.

A lock that sticks, catches, or sits just a little off can turn into a bigger problem fast when it's handled the wrong way. Doors start slamming, keys wear down, and a repair turns into a replacement nobody needed. We look at the lock, the latch, the strike, and how the door is hanging so we can find the real cause instead of forcing parts that don't fit anymore. That matters on front doors, side entries, bedroom locks, and interior doors that should close cleanly but keep giving you trouble.

We repair residential locks where you are, not from a storefront. Our work is mobile, so the van carries the tools and parts we need to diagnose and fix the issue on site. If the cylinder is worn, the latch is misaligned, the strike plate has shifted, or the lock body is loose in the door, we correct what's causing the problem and keep the hardware working as it should. When a lock can be saved, that's usually better than replacing it for no good reason. If replacement is the right move, we'll explain why in plain terms before anything is done.

We help homeowners across Delaware County, Chester County, and New Castle County with repairs that make doors secure and easier to use again. From Glen Mills homes to older houses with settling doors and newer homes with hardware that's already out of line, we see the same pattern: small issues ignored until the lock starts failing at the worst time. If your key is turning hard, the bolt won't line up, or the knob feels loose, we can take a look and fix what's actually wrong. We're available Sunday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Closed Saturday.

Related services

Lock Repair rarely stands entirely on its own. These are the jobs most often booked alongside it, all under residential locksmith services.

  • Lock Rekeying — Change who can open your doors without replacing the hardware - the first thing to do after a move.
  • Lock Replacement — Worn, outdated or compromised locks swapped for solid modern hardware.
  • Deadbolt Installation — A grade-rated deadbolt fitted properly, with the strike and strike screws that actually make it hold.
  • Smart Lock Installation — Keypad and app-controlled smart locks installed, aligned and set up so they work every single time.
  • Door Lock Repair — Door hardware realigned and repaired so the latch catches smoothly again instead of being shouldered shut.
  • Mailbox Lock Replacement — New mailbox locks and keys, including cluster-box units in condos and apartment communities.
  • High-Security Lock Installation — Pick-resistant, drill-resistant locks with restricted keyways, so nobody copies your key at a kiosk.

How it works

How a call actually goes

  1. Say what has happened

There is no form to fill in and no ticket number. You describe it, we tell you what is involved.

  2. We decide what the job takes

Some of this is quick and some genuinely is not. Knowing which in advance is what stops the day going sideways.

  3. We travel to the lock

The work is done where the door or the vehicle is. You do not bring the problem to us; we bring the workshop to it.

  4. It works before we go

Every key we cut gets tested in the lock it was cut for, and the door gets opened and closed until it is right.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer lock repair across all three counties?

Yes. Delaware County, PA, Chester County, PA, New Castle County, DE are all inside our regular service area.

Is this done on-site?

Yes. Sticking, loose or misaligned locks diagnosed and fixed instead of needlessly replaced. We work as a mobile service, so the van comes to the vehicle or the building rather than the other way round.

What information do you need from me?

Enough to bring the right thing. For vehicles that is the year, make and model plus whether any key still works. For a building it is the type of door and lock and what happens when you try it.

When can I reach you?

Sunday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are closed on Saturdays.
