Broken Key Extraction

Key snapped off in the lock? We extract the blade and get you a key that works again. Available across Delaware & Chester County PA and New Castle County DE.

A snapped key usually turns up at the worst possible moment: leaving for work, locking up after a long shift, or trying to get into a house or side door when the weather isn't cooperating. We help homeowners, drivers, landlords, and business owners across Delaware County, Chester County, and New Castle County when the blade breaks off in a lock and the door still needs to work right after the repair. Our mobile setup comes to you in Glen Mills and the surrounding area, so the lock gets handled where the problem is instead of turning into a bigger hassle.

When a key breaks inside a cylinder, forcing it or fishing at the fragment can push it deeper, bend the lock parts, or leave the door unusable. We use the right extraction tools to remove the broken piece cleanly, then check the lock and key so the next turn feels smooth again. If the key itself failed because it was worn, bent, or cut poorly, we can make a replacement that matches the lock and gets you back to normal use. We work on house locks, business entries, mailboxes, and many common vehicle locks, depending on the situation.

If you're standing at a door right now with half a key in your hand, the goal is simple: get the fragment out, protect the lock, and restore access without turning a small break into a full replacement. We explain what we're seeing, what the lock needs, and what options make sense before any work moves ahead. If the cylinder is still in good shape, extraction and a new key may be enough. If the lock was already worn or damaged, we'll let you know that too. Either way, we come to you with the tools to handle the job on site.

Where we do it

Broken Key Extraction by town

Each of these is a page written for that town, not a copy of this one.

How it works

Getting help is straightforward

  1. Get in touch

Ring us or send the details through the site. Either reaches the same person and gets the same answer.

  2. We scope the job

What kind of lock, what kind of door, what has already been attempted. Three questions, and we know what to bring.

  3. We arrive equipped

The right blanks, the right programmer, the right hardware. Turning up and then going away again helps nobody.

  4. You check it yourself

Try the key. Work the lock. Shut the door. If anything is not right we sort it there and then.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer broken key extraction across all three counties?

Yes. Delaware County, PA, Chester County, PA, New Castle County, DE are all inside our regular service area.

Is this done on-site?

Yes. Key snapped off in the lock? We extract the blade and get you a key that works again. We work as a mobile service, so the van comes to the vehicle or the building rather than the other way round.

What information do you need from me?

Enough to bring the right thing. For vehicles that is the year, make and model plus whether any key still works. For a building it is the type of door and lock and what happens when you try it.

When can I reach you?
